This interactive session will explore how African youth, particularly young women, can be empowered as leaders and co-creators of climate-resilient agrifood systems. Bringing together youth leaders, policymakers, financiers, private sector actors, and development partners, the discussion will focus on aligning continental policies, scaling youth-led innovations, unlocking climate finance, and strengthening youth participation in decision-making. Ahead of COP31, the session will identify practical actions to connect youth movements, policies, and investments to accelerate Africa’s climate and agrifood transformation. It will also explore how existing initiatives and coalitions are promoting the greater inclusion of youth voices in agri-food spaces and the adaptation of youth in this sector to climate change.
