The Ban Ki-moon Foundation is excited to announce that the call for applications for the 9th round of the Global Citizen Scholarship Program is now open from 18th February – 4th March 2026.
Are you…
- a young and active Global Citizen leader between 20 – 35 years;
- a citizen/national of one of the following countries: Bhutan, Cambodia, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, the Philippines, UAE, Uganda, Vietnam, Zimbabwe;
- passionate about taking action for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- keen to learn more about entrepreneurship for sustainable development during an online summer school with MCI Innsbruck and;
- ready to address one or more of the SDGs in your local community by proposing and implementing a localized Changemaker Project during the Scholarship period (May – December 2026).
Besides having the opportunity to broaden your network and increase your knowledge and skillset on the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, some of the benefits you will receive include full cost coverage for summer school training with MCI Innsbruck, coverage of various other expert workshops as well as the opportunity for one-on-one mentoring with some of our BKMF Changemaker Alumni, a EUR 500,00 seed grant to support the implementation of your Changemaker Project to be distributed after the successful submission of a project proposal, and a Certificate of Achievement awarded after the successful completion of your signed by both Co-chairs of the Ban Ki-moon Foundation.
